CT600 Filing for Overseas Entity (BVI Company with UK Property Income)

Dear TinyTax Support,

I am writing to confirm compatibility before proceeding with a Corporation Tax filing through your platform.

My company is a BVI-registered entity, listed with Companies House as an Overseas Entity (OE Number), which owns two rental properties in the UK. I intend to file the 2024 Corporation Tax Return (CT600) digitally using TinyTax, including the generation and submission of iXBRL-tagged accounts.

Could you please confirm that your software:

1. Fully supports non-UK incorporated companies registered as Overseas Entities with Companies House, and
2. Includes the correct sections for reporting UK property rental income under the non-resident company rules.

Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your confirmation so I can proceed confidently with the filing.

Kind regards,

George

Dear George,

Thank you for your enquiry regarding Corporation Tax filing for your BVI-registered entity.

Unfortunately, TinyTax does not currently support overseas entities or non-UK incorporated companies. Our software is designed specifically for UK-registered limited companies that are incorporated with Companies House under standard UK company numbers.

Specifically, TinyTax currently:

Only supports UK-registered companies — The system is built around Companies House UK company numbers and expects entities to be incorporated under UK company law (our iXBRL accounts generator hardcodes the legal form as “PrivateLimitedCompanyLtd” in the XBRL taxonomy).

Does not support OE (Overseas Entity) numbers — Our company lookup and validation systems only work with standard UK company registration numbers, not OE numbers.

Does not include specific sections for non-resident company rules — The CT600 generation and accounts templates are designed for standard UK resident companies and do not include the specialist sections required for non-resident companies with UK property rental income.

For your specific situation (a BVI company with UK rental properties), you would need either:

Specialist tax software that supports non-resident company filings, or

Professional accountancy software that handles overseas entities and non-resident property income.

I apologise that we cannot assist with your filing at this time. We focus on providing straightforward CT600 filing for standard UK limited companies, and overseas entities fall outside our current scope.

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Kind regards,
Tim

Dear Tim,

Thank you for your reply. I tried a look up of my Companies OE Number before I received your reply and your look up and validation system happily found my Companies Details. Does that change the picture?

Kind regards,

George

Sorry George - we don't support the additional sections for rental income. But we may in the future so please come back next year to see if we've added that feature.
